Was the July 15th military coup attempt orchestrated by FETÖ?

It has been clearly established by official state institutions, judicial investigations, court decisions, and the report of the Research Commission established within the Turkish Grand National Assembly that FETÖ (Fethullahist Terrorist Organization) was behind the military coup attempt carried out in Turkey on July 15, 2016.
These decisions and findings are based on the following fundamental grounds and evidence:
Confessions and Defendant Statements: Many soldiers, civilians, and bureaucrats who participated in the coup attempt and were later arrested confessed that they were members of the organization and received instructions directly from Fethullah Gülen or from the organization’s leaders, referred to as “civil imams.” Akıncı Air Base and Civilian Imams: Camera recordings and concrete evidence have proven that Adil Öksüz, Kemal Batmaz, Hakan Çiçek, and Nurettin Oruç, members of the organization’s civilian wing, were present at Akıncı Air Base in Ankara, the command center of the coup attempt, that night. It has been determined that these civilians gave orders to military personnel outside the hierarchical structure of the army. Communication Networks and Digital Evidence: Encrypted communication programs (ByLock, etc.) used by organization members to communicate amongst themselves, and the correspondence in the “Peace at Home” WhatsApp groups established on the night of the coup, revealed that the uprising was a planned organizational activity. Judicial Decisions: As a result of hundreds of main trials and local court proceedings following the coup attempt, it was concluded that the coup plan was prepared and implemented by the FETÖ leadership, and the Supreme Court upheld these decisions. In conclusion, although there were individual elements who participated in or were instrumental in the coup attempt with different motivations, it is established by legal and factual evidence that FETÖ was the main backbone, planner, and director of the uprising.
